Job Title:  Manufacturing Test Technician

Description

As a Manufacturing Test Technician, you will work alongside the manufacturing and test engineering teams to help maintain and improve the Manufacturing Test Environment.  You have a dynamic presence and can work within a team of diverse personalities to maintain test hardware and debug assembly and board level build issues.  You are a system level thinker, excited to work with hardware, wired and wireless networks, OS/drivers and custom applications targeted at IIoT solutions.

Musts:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance current test methodologies and processes to enable better technology transfer, yield improvement, process optimization, failure analysis, training, troubleshooting, and developing / maintaining test fixtures and test procedures.
  • Have experience testing hardware modules, software applications, and end-to-end systems test.
  • Basic understanding of Schematics and Layout.
  • Debug and diagnosis board level issues and give appropriate feedback to rework operators, technicians, SMT engineers and design engineers in order to correct the issue and ensure the longevity and quality of all manufactured products.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose manufacturing floor issues and bucket them into appropriate failure categories (Design issues, Software Issues, Test Issues, Equipment failure, SMT Issues).
  • Responsible for reading, analyzing, and interpreting of various technical procedures and reports.
  • Responsible for writing reports and keeping accurate documentation.
  • Must be a US Person in accordance with United States immigration laws to be considered for this position.

You’ll stand out if you have:

  • Soldering experience.
  • IPC-A-610: Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies certification.
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or electrical engineering.

A Typical Day Will Include:

  • Performing assembly and standard test functions on PCBA and Final Assembly level devices.
  • Working alongside the manufacturing and test engineering team to maintain effective testing for our products.
  • Debugging station problems and coming up with solutions and getting test systems back running.
  • Working on board level problems to find issues as they occur and give detailed instructions on the solutions.
  • Maintain the test equipment in the lab anything from power supplies to network analyzers.
  • Working with engineering to fix systemic problems that arise.
  • Working on RMA from customers to determine fault and solutions.
  • Backup for Manufacturing Engineering Technician (SMT/Equipment programming and preventative maintenance – mechanical aptitude required; training will be provided).
  • Creating work instructions and training operators and peers for test and assembly.

Education: related technical experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour DOE
